Government Official Residence - Uige
The renovation and expansion of the Uige Protocol House was aimed at requalifying the existing colonial building. Two new volumes were added to the old body to respond to the intervention program: one for accommodation of employees, kitchen and storage (service areas), and another for accommodation of visitors, both having independent access from the outside and direct access to the main building. The volume of services, taking advantage of part of some existing structures, maintains a similar architectural language to the main building, while the Volume for visitors is assumed with a more contemporary language.
The main building will concentrate the social areas, like a reception hall, a living room, and a dining room, and will also have a private suite and an office for the Governor.
The renovation proposes the landscape renovation of the palace gardens, which are marked by a pergola on the back, seeking a close relationship with the three buildings.
