Urban growth in Mukolongondjo has increased significantly in the last decade, as a result of peace and recent economic development, that determined significant improvement of infrastructures and a better use of regional agricultural potential. The planning of future occupation and the control of spontaneous occupation thus appear among the priorities for the city, among with environmental protection and the infrastructures for urban areas.
