Master Plan - Mupambala Housing Land Reserve

The Mupambala Housing Land Reserve was the second area to be planned for the urban expansion in Menongue in 2009. Sinfic and SUB were commissioned to do the general MasterPlan (825 ha) and a Detailed Plan for an area of 277,4 ha. The plan focuses on the definition of a new centrality in Menongue, considering higher density mixed use areas along the main streets, and residential spaces of one family houses around it. The Plan departs from a careful identifications of wetland and watercourse protection areas that form, together with the proposed green spaces, a comprehensive ecologic structure. The detailed plan defines a total of 1653 plots, 1415 for single-family houses and 238 in collective housing or mixed-use buildings, along with multiple areas for public facilities, to serve an estimated population of 20 778.
